Any unique family traits you would like to share?
There are quite a few people in my family who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces and protected our country over the generations. USA! USA! USA!

When/how did your yoga journey begin?
October 26, 2013 – I attended my first yoga class with my wife! I remember it like it was yesterday. I took the 10:30am Level 1 on a Saturday and then found myself in the 11:30am Advanced Vinyasa class due to the encouragement of Suzanne, Annie and Jessie!

What made you want to become a yoga teacher?
The desire to create an environment where people can dive deep into their selves, free of judgement, and have some fun along the journey!

Describe your perfect day.
Going to the beach with a new book, smelling the salt and suntan lotion in the air, body surfing the waves, and then hanging out with friends and family in the backyard on a warm/sunny summer afternoon!

What are some things that people might be surprised to know about you?
I am a Life Coach, play the guitar, and have a slight obsession with virology, specifically zoonoses (viruses transmitted from animals to humans)!

What inspires you?
Witnessing a person overcome adversity, taking steps towards their dreams, something I call their Big Vision. It is inspiring to see that person in the process on achieving their personal success.

What are your favorite books/movies?
Fiction – The Given Day by Dennis Lehane / Non Fiction – Feel The Fear…And Do It Anyway by Dr. Susan Jeffers

What kind of music do you like?
I enjoy various types of music, but Pearl Jam is my favorite band of all time (at the moment! haha).

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spending time with my family and friends!

If you were an animal what animal would you be?
Pelican – I want to fly and glide inches above the ocean water effortlessly! It is so beautiful!

If you could have one super power, what would it be?
To be able to talk to animals! Animals definitely have some clever conversation we simply cannot understand!
